At Bluebell we aim to create a warm, safe, and welcoming environment where every child feels happy, valued, and supported.
We believe that early childhood is a special time for curiosity, discovery, and building confidence, and we are dedicated to helping every child learn and grow at their own pace.
We support children’s learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Our caring and experienced staff nurture each child’s individuality, encouraging independence, creativity, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.

What is the EYFS?
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is the framework that guides learning and 
development for children from birth to five years old.
At Bluebell, we follow the EYFS to make sure every child gets the support they need to learn, grow, and thrive. The EYFS focuses on helping children develop key skills across all areas of life, including:
Communication and language
Learning to listen, speak, and express themselves.
Physical development
Building strength, coordination, and healthy habits.
Cognitive skills
Learning to think, solve problems, and be curious about the world.
Creative development
Exploring art, music, and imaginative play
Personal, social and emotional development
Gaining confidence, independence, and positive relationships.
Strong Partnerships
We believe that strong partnerships with parents and carers are at the heart of a child’s development. By working closely together, we ensure that every child’s interests, needs, and stage of development are understood and supported.
At Bluebell, children also enjoy exploring the world around them through visits to local parks, duck ponds, and forest school areas, where they can learn, play, and connect with nature. Our goal is to help every child feel confident, curious, and ready for the next stage of their learning journey.

We are incredibly lucky to be located right next to the village park, giving our children daily opportunities to explore the outdoors, connect with nature, and enjoy plenty of fresh air.
We treat the park as a natural extension of our playroom, ensuring the children have the best of both worlds.

We love getting out and about to explore the world around us. Whether we are heading out on an adventure in our famous Turtle Buses or walking down to visit the local church, we ensure our children feel connected to the wonderful village they live in.

Staying Connected
We use Tapestry to document each child’s learning journey, allowing parents to access photos, videos and observations easily from home via the app. Parents can also share their child’s experiences from home, helping our staff gain a fuller picture of each child’s interests and achievements, and enabling us to support their learning more effectively within the setting.
